Hello there! My name is Tweak, and I am on home direct with my bestie, Poppy. We are Tibetan Spaniels, and both approximately 12 years old, looking for a new home together! Some of you eagle-eyed supporters may recognise us as we came to the centre last year and have since been living the most wonderful life. Unfortunately, due to medical reasons, our owner can no longer give us all the time we deserve so have made the hard decision to help us find a home where they know we will be spoilt rotten!

We are very close and enjoy a good snooze together on our big comfy bed. And despite being a little shy to start with, we both really love spending time with humans and are very friendly with strangers we meet on our walks!

We can still be a little bit shy, but we love being out and about and exploring all over the place! I get SO excited when my lead is on and I’m ready to go!! Poppy takes a little more convincing – don’t tell her I told you, but she LOVES her walks just as much as I do. We are gradually learning some training - so long as it involves lots of tasty treats… whoever said you can’t teach an old dog new tricks had obviously never heard of chicken! It would be SO great if our new humans would continue to work on this with us – and the chicken is definitely a non-negotiable!

We haven’t really liked sharing our space or meeting with other dogs before and really only have eyes for each other, so we’d prefer to be the only dogs in our new home. We have lived with cats before, so we wouldn’t mind too much living with one of those again. We’ve never lived with any tiny humans but have met them on walks and do rather enjoy a fuss from them, but preferably we would be best suited to a home where the children are a bit older and understanding of giving us our space.

We’re looking for a peaceful retirement home together, where the humans will be very patient and understanding and allow us to settle at our own pace. We can’t wait to find the right family to shower us with all the love – could that be you?
