Freddy - male Poodle (Miniature) Cross

Freddy is a funny and excitable little chap who likes to bounce about and paw for attention. He likes people and being made a fuss of, but he tends to be quite protective of his owner and will sit between his person and any visitors. Freddy has also barked at people, not everyone. who walk by his handler when he's out for his exercise. He seems to choose his person and may be better suited to a household with just one individual, rather than a family, and to be separated from visitors once they've been greeted. Freddy isn't used to being by himself and any time he may need to spend alone should be increased gradually by his adopter. He is mostly fine when walking by other dogs, but will bark at those he sees in the distance. He was tried off lead with a dog he had walked happily with but Freddy did not enjoy the interaction and chased the other dog away, so we will be rehoming him as an only dog.

Freddy cannot live with children under the age of 16. He also needs to be the only dog at home. He is house trained but isn't used to being left alone. Freddy's coat will need regular care and costly trips to the groomers should be considered when applying to adopt him.
