Billy - male Terrier (Patterdale)

Billy is a young terrier who would like to find a family that can keep up with him! He's very active when out and about and always vigilant, watching for other dogs and wildlife, but when inside he loves a fuss and cuddle. Billy will happily jump on our laps when we get down to his level, but he can be wriggly still. He's very happy to meet new people but he isn't keen on other dogs and doesn't enjoy face to face interactions with them. He would benefit from some training to help him focus on his handler instead of the other dog, and we've begun this at the centre already.

Billy can live with children over the age of 14, but he'll need to be the only pet. We have limited history for him and cannot guarantee that he is house trained. It's best that someone is around for him most of the day as he may not be used to being left by himself. Billy has a tracheal collapse and surgery is risky, so he is medically managed. Our vet nurse would be happy to discuss this with any family who would be interested in giving Billy a home.
