Hunter - Male Lurcher

Hello, I’m Hunter and I am looking for my forever home. I came to the centre as a stray so the team don’t know anything about my past, but it didn’t take them long to fall in love with me and I’m sure you will too!

I’m a happy, excitable boy who loves to play with my toys and spend time with my favourite people. I get very excited when I see people that I love, and I’ve been told I need to learn some manners so that I can start to greet people calmly. I can walk nicely when I am out, but I can get easily distracted and over excited so I also need to improve my loose lead walking. My carers have started some basic positive reinforcement training with me and I look forward to continuing this with my new family. The good news is, I LOVE food and I’m very clever, so I’ve been learning very quickly.

I have made friends with some of the other lurchers at the centre and I might like to live with another dog - we would need to meet at the centre a few times to make sure we can be friends but I cannot live with cats. I need my new home to be with adults and teenagers only and I will need a large secure garden to run around in. I really enjoy playing and chasing my toys so I will need plenty of space. I would also like it if someone in the family was home most of the time to keep me company and stop me getting up to any mischief!
