Hayley - Female Labrador

18-05-24 Hayley has come to us from a breeder to find her forever home. She is a very nervous girl and is overwhelmed to find herself here, Hayley will need a calm home to decompress and in time help show off her sweet personality. She will need lots of help working on her confidence. Hayley isn't used to alot of attention of people so is very unsure of us and can make the wrong decisions if pushed out of fear. Hayley is slowly gaining confidence with staff she knows where she will come up and sniff your hand, she is still nervous but she will allow you to fuss her if you go slow and let her have plenty of room and time to back away. She is looking for a calm and quiet home with a very experienced adopter who has worked with frightened dogs before to set Hayley up for success and help her make the right decisions. Hayley can react if pushed out of fear so she needs a home where she is set up for success. She is getting used to having a harness and slip lead put on and taken off and is coming along well with this when given plenty of time and choice, and she does walk quite well while on the harness. Hayley feels safer and more confident around her kennel friends, she shows her excitement at being outside and playing with all the other dogs. She will need a kind confident resident dog in her new home to help her relax and she can also copy new skills like house training from them, this will be very new to Hayey and adopters will need to be mindful of this. She will need a calm home with experienced adopters to help her move forwards and will need a home without children or visiting children as she will find them too much and may make mistakes. Hayley is a project dog that will takes lots of time and dedication but in the right home adopters will have the privledge of seeing Hayley slowly coming out of her shell,settling into her new life and finding joy in people.
