Trixie - Female Greyhound

Hello, I’m Trixie, a retired racing Greyhound who is looking for a new home.

I’m a friendly, confident girl who loves to play, snooze and spend lots of time with my favourite people. You’ll know when you’re approaching my kennel at the centre, because you’ll probably hear my squeaky toys before you see me. I absolutely LOVE toys and playing, I have a toy box in my kennel and I like to rummage around in it to find my favourite ones to get out. Sometimes I can’t choose a favourite and play with all of them at once! I’m a very social dog and love to spend time out on walks, or in paddocks with the other dogs at the centre. I would be happy to live with another dog in my new home if they are a similar size to me and we get on when we meet at the centre first. I wouldn’t be able to live with small dogs or cats because I would be too tempted to chase them.

I’m looking for a family who will be home most of the time to help me settle in. Any children living with me need to be steady on their feet, as I can be quite jumpy when I am excited and playing, and I wouldn't want to accidentally knock someone over. It is also important that I have a garden to run around in.
