Teddy is a gentle, sweet natured lad who is around 4 years old. He is an ex-racing Greyhound who has not lived in a home before so new owners will need to be understanding and introduce him to the environment slowly. Teddy is not yet house-trained and will need to learn all the basics. He loves food though, so with access to a secure garden and tasty treats as a reward he should pick it up quickly! Time left alone should be built up from scratch once he’s settled. He has potential to join his family on trips out and about though, as he’s shown really positive associations with the car in centre.

Teddy is a lovely boy who is looking for his first home after the end of his racing career. He’s been friendly with everyone he’s met here, giving the traditional Greyhound lean into your legs. We’re not sure if he’s ever been around children before but those of around secondary school age would be fine. Teddy could share his home with a pre-existing dog, pending a successful mix in the centre prior to rehoming. He has a preference for other Greyhounds and Lurchers, so these would be the best match for him. As an ex-racer he will need to be walked wearing a muzzle and is unsuitable to live with cats.
