Meet Robyn, a stunning 3 year old Dachshund with a heart of gold who sadly hasn’t had the best start in life. She's a bit shy initially, but with a little patience, she opens up, revealing her affectionate nature. Once she trusts you, she'll be your shadow, adoring every bit of attention she gets. Robyn loves a tranquil life, but don't let that fool you. When she feels at ease, she's all about fun and games! Squeaky or crinkly teddies are her favourites and the joy in her eyes when she wins a round of tug is utterly heartwarming! When it comes to treats Robyn adores them all, no exceptions! Even with her gentle, reserved nature, when treats are involved, she's not afraid to give a friendly bark if you're a bit slow! Winning over Robyn's trust will require time, compassion, and dedication. But once you do, you'll find a lovable and faithful friend in her, making all the effort worthwhile. A true testament to the saying, patience is a virtue!

Sweet little lady, Robyn is looking for a quiet and consistent home with very patient, calm and understanding owners who will nurture her delicate nature and allow her come out of her shell in her own time. She's a shy little lady who appreciates the gentle touch and patience as she learns to trust those around her, so any children in the home will need to be sensible, calm and aged 16 years and over. Robyn finds immense joy in the company of other dogs and flourishes with their companionship, so having another confident, similar-sized canine companion to guide her in her new surroundings would be a wonderful bonus. Dear little Robyn finds being alone quite distressing, so a home where she will always have companionship and feel included in every aspect of family life is a must for her to feel safe and settled. Her training should be approached with a gentle hand and a calm approach, focusing on reward-based techniques to build her confidence. Robyn has history of housetraining and can target puppy pads. As she will need a little extra guidance with her housetraining, it is essential that she has regular access to her own secure, private garden. Robyn may need home visits from our team, so her home will need to be within a 45 minute drive of the Canterbury Rehoming Centre and she will need multiple meets with her adopters prior to going home to build a strong bond, so please consider this before applying for her.
