Meet Harley, a doting little Dachshund with a heart full of sweetness and a dash of shyness. At 3 years old, she's found her joy in life - being a loyal sidekick. Her gentle demeanor makes her a perfect companion for quiet evenings and her happiest moments are those spent nestled by your side like a sweet little shadow, soaking in all the affection you have to give. Don't be fooled by her love for a quiet cuddle, Harley is also quite the little explorer. She relishes those long, adventurous walks where she gets to make lots of doggy pals! At home, Harley's playful spirit shines through in her amusing antics. She has a special collection of toys, each one cherished and well-loved, and she never tires of showing off her impressive toy-fetching skills. Harley hasn’t had the best start in life and she’s a little cautious of the wider world, but with time, patience and lots of understanding, she will flourish and bring so much joy into a very lucky home.

Harley is in search of her forever family and dreams of a peaceful home where she can gently grow her confidence, while exploring the wonders of the world at her own pace. She would be happiest in a home with children aged 14 and up, as she finds a quieter environment less stressful. While Harley needs to be the only pet at home, she loves making friends on her walks; her joy in meeting other dogs is a sight to behold however, she's not a match for cats or small animals. Harley can contentedly spend around four hours by herself, usually catching up on her beauty sleep. She loves being a part of the family's everyday activities and would prefer a home where she has access to all areas of the house without restrictions. She's already picked up some basic training and walks nicely on her lead and harness. She's nearly got the hang of house training, but might need a little guidance once she's settled into her new home so Harley will need regular access to a secure garden for toilet training, sniffing around, playing and soaking up the sun! Due to a health condition, Harley requires a home with no immunocompromised individuals. Harley will need to meet her adopters a few times prior to going home so please bear this in mind when applying. If you rent your property, please have written permission from your landlord ready once you have submitted your application to avoid delays, as it will be required early on in the rehoming process if you are shortlisted. Please note that should you be shortlisted, our rehoming process usually takes between 7 - 10 days.
