Maggie - female Collie (Border)

Gorgeous girl Maggie is a three-year-old Border Collie who is affectionate and seeks and loves reassurance from her people. Maggie gives clear body language on being nervous. Once she knows you, and that doesn’t take too long, she adores soaking up all the attention, fuss and snuggles. Maggie does not play with toys; she may not understand what they are all about yet. She enjoys going for walks and having a good sniff and explore of her surroundings. Maggie has met a few dogs since her arrival at the rehoming centre and mixes well. She enjoys treats and is enthusiastic to learn some basic training such as a ‘sit’ and ‘paw’.

Maggie would best suit a quiet home environment with loving adopters who are happy to help her build confidence and give her the reassurance that she needs. Maggie could potentially live with a calm dog, and she would enjoy having doggy pals when out and about. She has no history of living with a cat, small furries, or being around livestock. She is a nervous girl looking for a home with adult adopters. Maggie arrived in our care as a stray, so we have no history of her background. She may need you to help her with her housetraining, and time left alone is best built up gradually.
