Pablo - male Chihuahua (Smooth Coat)

Pablo is 7 years old and came into our care due to his owner’s ill health. He’s a right character once you get to know him, but does need a family who will go slowly, be patient, and appreciates his quirks. He has a good history of car travel and has really tried to remain housetrained in kennels. With a family who are prepared to build up left-alone time slowly at a pace he is comfortable with, he should be able to get to the point where he can be left for an hour or two. Pablo is sure to make a nice addition to a home where he can spend time with people and go for little walks.

Pablo is a shy, sensitive little lad who would love to find a quiet, adult-only home where he can relax. He appreciates a slow approach at first as he’s quite a worried boy. The best way to make friends is through sausages and cheese! Sadly he has been attacked by a dog in the past, so will need to be the only dog in the home. He’s not a problem out and about, just tries to avoid other pooches and doesn’t want to interact. A very quiet walking friend would be ok though, and might help build his confidence. He has lived with cats in the past without issue, and could do so again. This would need to be with gradual, managed introductions though, as he can bark at unknown cats when out and about. Pablo's back legs are quite weak and he is currently on a pain trial to see if this improves things for him.
